Terms & Conditions

All DJ bookings are subject to availability and written confirmation.

Submitting an enquiry through djscarta.com does not guarantee availability or constitute a confirmed booking.

A booking is only secured once DJ Scarta has accepted the booking in writing, the agreed terms have been accepted, and the required upfront payment has been received.

The upfront payment forms part of the total booking fee and is not automatically non-refundable.

• •A 50% upfront payment is required to secure the booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• •The remaining 50% is payable before the event, by the date specified on the invoice or booking agreement.
• •Additional performance hours, equipment, travel and other agreed services may incur additional charges.
• •All charges will be communicated and agreed before they are incurred.

Clients must notify DJ Scarta in writing if they wish to cancel their booking.

Refunds will be assessed fairly, taking into account:

• •How much notice is provided before the event.
• •Costs reasonably incurred in preparing for the booking.
• •The likelihood of securing another booking for the reserved date.
• •Any income lost directly because of the cancellation.
• •Any costs saved because the event will no longer proceed.

As a general approach, cancellations made well in advance are more likely to qualify for a larger refund. Cancellations closer to the event may result in higher deductions where DJ Scarta can demonstrate greater losses.

Any cancellation charge will be limited to a reasonable assessment of the losses directly resulting from the cancellation, after taking reasonable steps to minimise those losses.

Where a replacement booking is secured, the cancellation assessment will take account of the income recovered.

DJ Scarta will explain any deductions and refund any remaining balance within 14 days of determining the refund amount.

No cancellation charge will be applied where prohibited by law.

Clients wishing to change their event date should contact DJ Scarta as soon as possible.

DJ Scarta will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.

Any changes to pricing, travel or other arrangements will be discussed and agreed before the booking is amended.

If a mutually acceptable alternative date cannot be agreed, the original booking may be cancelled under Section 3.

If DJ Scarta cannot fulfil a confirmed booking, the client will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, DJ Scarta may offer a suitable replacement DJ, subject to the client's agreement.

If the client does not accept the proposed replacement, or no suitable replacement is available, payments for services not provided will be refunded.

Nothing in these terms limits the client's statutory rights or any additional remedies available under applicable law.

Clients must provide accurate information regarding the venue, performance times and technical requirements.

Any agreed requirements relating to DJ equipment, sound systems, power supply, access and performance space must be communicated before the event.

Additional costs arising from changes to the agreed arrangements must be approved by the client in advance.

The agreed performance hours will be confirmed in writing.

Requests to extend performance hours are subject to DJ Scarta's availability and agreement on any additional fees.

Where circumstances outside either party's reasonable control prevent the event from proceeding, both parties will discuss reasonable alternatives, including rescheduling.

Any cancellation, refund or other remedy will be determined by the circumstances and applicable law.

DJ Scarta will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdictional rights.
